INTERSECTION FOR THE ARTS | WHEN: November 9th, 7:00 PM | WHERE: Intersection for the Arts, 925 Mission Street, San Francisco, CA 94103 | DETAILS: Del Sol String Quartet will kick off its second season of interactive concerts with the world premiere by Grammy Award winning composer Gabriela Lena Frank. Tawantinsuyu Songbook draws on ancient and modern idioms from both the western and indigenous Latin American music traditions. Inspired by Ms. Frank’s mixed Peruvian heritage, the songbook fuses traditions through pieces written for various combinations of classical strings and folkloric instruments from the region, such as panpipes, guitars and percussion.

INTERSECTION FOR THE ARTS | WHEN: November 4th, 5th, 11th, 12th | 8pm - 9:30pm | WHERE: Intersection for the Arts, 925 Mission Street, San Francisco, CA 94103 | DETAILS: Sitting In A Circle is a guided performance event that takes audiences on an interactive journey by way of movement, theater, and installation. The evening introduces an abstract world where a group of strangers are mysteriously summoned to come together and face questions about what “coming together” really means.
